It's About That Time...

Yeah, it's about that time again where I think about what it means to be another year older. It's not yet, but it's coming, which is still kind of awkward. Unlike many others, I don't really like to celebrate my birthday. It's just another day in my opinion, so I never make much of a big deal out of it. It's one of those things where I've come to accept, who knows why.

This year, in preparation for the event to come, I've decided to list things that I want. It's a tentative list, simply because I figure by the end of the year I'll have managed to get all of them (I recall posting something similar to this at the beginning of the year; I think it was my resolution that I would at least try to get one of those things by the end of the year). So, with that, let's begin this list.

1. Nikon D60
Yes, I've thought this one through fairly well. I want a "decent" high end camera that will allow me to take some awesome photos. Having said that, I've also already decided to buy it. Donations to contribute to this awesomeness are very welcome.

2. An iPod Touch (16gb)
I'm slowly working on this one, simply because I should hope that I still get to use my discount (provided first that my job is still intact at that point), but I've decided on an iPod Touch over the iPod Nano simply because it has more functionality, and I like functionality.

3. Money
What more can a semi-broke college guy ask for?

4. Just Relaxing
To be honest, I would rather just spend a day hanging out with everybody I know and relive the moments that made me enjoy my life. Seeing as how my friends are always around me, I always enjoy life. In that sense I just want to spend some more time.

5. Notes
Whether it be notes for a class I can really use them for or just something random (the ones Joselyn and Joanna always gave me were intriguing), it's always fun to read those.

6. Just because I need 6.
In my opinion, it's just my lucky number. Who knows why... Naturally I just had to post this up because I want to put it up there. ^^-b

So with that, I'm done. ^^-b

New Year, Same Blog

It's been awhile (a long while at that) since I've had some sort of intelligent "post" on here, so I figure why not start another one in the new year (minus the whole "Happy New Years" post, because in hindsight that doesn't really count).

A Few Things I Can't Wrap my Head Around
I never quite understood the real concept behind "Happy Hour." I know that it's a good thing when prices for popular things are cheaper (drinks usually), but yet if it's "Happy Hour" then why the hell is it more than an hour? The biggest culprit to this oblivious fact as far as I've seen is T.G.I. Fridays, which has not one but TWO different times for "Happy Hour."

Ok, so this one I hit up at a Whole Food's market. What in the world would you consider a natural meat? If the stuff at Whole Food's is "natural meat" then what the hell have we been buying at normal supermarkets? Maybe we'll never find out...

Working Life
It'll soon mark the quarter-mark since I've started working at Apple (which, if anybody "actually" knows me, is a feat in itself), I have to say that I've learned some new things in life. On top of meeting way too many new people (and surprisingly a lot of them know me in some kooky way too), it's really been a lot more fun than I thought it originally be. Perhaps it's a different atmosphere or the people (I'd say it's the people really), and maybe I'll never find out the true secret...

Some thanks:
While the picture itself is a bit blurry (in part to stupid lighting and the fact that the camera was from a laptop), the message is still clear.

Thanks Mabel! ^^-b

Well hey, not bad... maybe somebody will read it! ahaha. That's all for now.

Questionable Judgment?

Every year, when the New Year arrives, I always question it's judgment. What's the difference between one year to the next? Why keep a list of "resolutions" that would defy the human logic and (usually) pitifully attempt to keep those resolutions throughout the entire year when, perhaps by the 2nd month, it'll be in the afterburner of your thought process. It never really made much sense to me, but then again, it's been going on for ages now where at the end of the year people would "forget about their past" and "look to the future"... which is also where I believe those phrases came to life from.

Then again, maybe I'm looking at this completely the wrong way. Having a resolution where you dutifully keep can be rewarding, knowing that you can stick to a plan and complete it... ok, so maybe there is something to all this.

... nah, it's just questionable judgment whether or not to actually make one of these, and seeing as how I live my life by the old quote I used to say, creating a list of "resolutions" is not going to happen anytime soon.

"No fears, no hesitations, no regrets... Live life the way it was meant to be, no matter where it leads you."
